Consider Resolution of Support for Northwest Youth and Family Services <br />Campaign for the Discovery Center <br />At the request of Mayor Klausing, Councilmember Pust presented a request for a <br />resolution of support and endorsement for the Northwest Youth and Family Ser- <br />vices (NYFS) for expansion of their campus. <br />Pust moved, Ihlan seconded, adoption of Resolution No. 10662 entitled, "City of <br />Roseville Support and Endorsement of the Northwest Youth and Family Services <br />Campaign to Create the Discovery Center." <br />Mayor Klausing thanked Councilmember Pust for agreeing to hold this proposed <br />resolution over from the previous meeting for further review by the City Council <br />and public. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Willmus; Roe; Ihlan; Pust; and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />13. Business Items -Presentations, Discussions <br />a. Discuss Council Submissions on the 2009 Tax Levy and Budget <br />City Manager Malinen distributed, as bench handouts, written comment from <br />Councilmembers Ihlan and Willmus on 2009 Budget and Levy discussions, dated <br />October 20, 2008. <br />City Manager Malinen also distributed, as a bench handout, a response from Fi- <br />nance Director Chris Miller to Councilmember Ihlan's comment. <br />Councilmember Roe distributed, as a bench handout, his written comment related <br />to the 2009 proposed budget. <br />Mayor Klausing thanked Councilmembers for providing their written comment <br />for Council and staff review and consideration. <br />Mayor Klausing requested additional information from staff related to several <br />comments and to facilitate future discussions: <br />Willmus written comments <br />1) Reiteration of staff's analysis of additional impacts to the City's storm <br />sewer maintenance costs and compost use related to the leaf pick-up pro- <br />1~'~ <br />2) Background information on the last increase in City Council compensa- <br />tion; and comparables of peer communities; <br />
