Chair Singleton said it was a <br />positive event and expressed his favorable impressions of the intelligence and research provided <br />by the students and the support of their families and teachers. Chair Singleton offered <br />congratulations to the students and teachers for doing such an excellent job. <br />Chair Singleton expressed his disappointment that other members were not present to recognize <br />the students and requested that members consider their attendance mandatory to support the <br />students and sponsored activities of the HRC. <br />Commissioner Reports and Announcements <br />Chair Singleton noted that the previous evening, he had participated with the City Council in <br />interviewing nine candidates for vacancies on the HRC and anticipated that the City Council <br />would make their appointments within the next few weeks. <br />Commissioners expressed-their appreciation to Commissioner Crump for his service to the HRC <br />and the community, and they encouraged him to return in the future. <br />Adjournment <br />Chair Singleton adjourned the meeting at approximately 8:27 p.m. <br />n <br />
