The <br />i 5 goals for the PIP are: <br />1� 1. To increase the aesthetics of all Roseville parks. <br />� r 2. To make upgrades to park facilities and amenities with the goal to <br />1�� reduce daily maintenance needs. <br />����� 3. To bring all park facilities up to city code and to meet recognized safety <br />�[� standards in all city parks. <br />� i 4. To insure that all parks are used to their fullest potential while <br />�� protecting natural resources and open space. <br />�� 5. To repair and replace any park facilities and related amenities that is in <br />�� need of repair because of their age and condition. <br />�� 6. To make upgrades, enhancements and replacements without incurring <br />��� unusual costs for rehabilitation or redevelopment. <br />�� 7. To make improvements based on the most up-to-date professional <br />�C� standards. <br />�� <br />� (7 <br />�� <br />�� <br />3? <br />3� <br />"'� r. <br />:� �, <br />_i , <br />3F <br />�� <br />�] f i <br />�1 <br />The PIP process is as follows: <br />f!: <br />3. <br />4. <br />All improvements will meet the latest appropriate safety requirements, <br />municipal and state codes and professional standards. <br />Staff will review proposed work with the Parks and Recreation <br />Commission. <br />Improvements will be designed to meet required standards and <br />minimize ar�dlar reduce maintenance procedures currently required. <br />The majority of the reconstruction labor will be contracted allowing park <br />maintenance staff to concentrate on regular maintenance concerns. <br />5. Standard procedures will be used for drawing specifications, <br />advertising for bids, receiving quotes and awarding contracts. <br />�� POLICY OBJECTIVE <br />��-� . PIP monies will be spent to redevelop present park facilities rather than <br />� � constructentirely new projects. <br />
