Projects will be recommended by staff, reviewed and referred by the <br />Parks and Recreation Commission and adopted by the City Council. <br />• Additional funding may be used from participating groups to enhance <br />the project. <br />. Regular ongoing maintenance will continue to address the problems <br />that are not a part of the adopted current PIP projects to insure <br />completely safe facilities. <br />The PIP program was initially funded in 1991. From 1991-2003 the funding level <br />was $250,000 per year. From 2004-2006 the funding level was $150,000. The <br />approved funding level for 2007 is $175,000. <br />FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS <br />$175,000 has been approved in the 2007 City Budget for implementation of the <br />PIP. Funding many times is accumulated over a couple of years to complete a <br />project. <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br />Based on the completion and analysis of the PIP evaluation process and the <br />unanimous recommendation of the Parks and Recreation Commission, staff <br />recommends that the Council approve the following projects totaling $175,000: <br />ITEM AMOUNT <br />1) Autumn Grove Tennis Court Repainting and Restriping $ 6,000 <br />2) Rosebrook Tennis Court Rebuild and Pool Fence Replacement $ 59,000 <br />3) Central Park Waterfall Repairs $ 4,000 <br />4) Central Park Lexington Electrical Service Panel Repairs $ 6,000 <br />5) Concrete Pads for Placement of Bleachers & Portable <br />Toilets (all parks) $ 35,000 <br />6) Security Gate at the Acorn Park Shelter $ 5,000 <br />7) Central Park Dale Street Athletic Field Complex Fencing <br />(Partial Funding by Roseville Youth Football, Roseville Central <br />Park Foundation and the North Suburban Youth Association) $ 35,000 <br />8) Athletic Field Upgradesl�andscaping <br />(various locations incl. sod for Rosebrook and Dale Street Fields) 25.000 <br />TOTAL $175,000 <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Motion authorizing the 2007 PIP proiects with monies to be taken from the <br />$175,000 a�propriatec� in the 2007 budget for the Park Improvement Program. <br />
