My authority for requesting this falls under Chapter 505.02, Sub 1 of Minnesota State Statutes. <br />The statute states: "The land shall be surveyed and a plat made setting forth and naming all <br />thoroughfares, showing all public grounds, and giving dimensions of �1 E lots, thoroughfares and <br />public ground.... The width of all thoroughfares shall be shown on the �lat... .. Al� rivers, <br />star�arns, creeks, lakes, ponds, swamps, and all public highways and tl�oroughfares laid out, a�ened <br />or traveled (existing before the platting) shall be correctly located and plainly shown and <br />designated on the plat. . . . ," <br />That leaves the developer two choices; either show the public trail on the plat as a thoroughfareor <br />have it vacated.
