Single-Family Residential Lot Split Study
Built four nice houses sold for 500,000 or more.
More Moms/Dads/children.
Young families hae moved into the neighborhood.
■ My new neighbors are in rny backyard and they always interact with us.
4. Have you noticed any eative neighborhood impacts since the subdivision of this lot?
}•:, 'rx 53? T4r
If ves. what?
■ As mentioned above in #2. To add - the developers should be required to replace even a portion of the trees removed
for buildin. Noise, dust, dirt, etc. in construction. Yes, I know we hae to put u w/ home improvements w but a
demolition, tree-razing, and two new houses is a lot.
■ We hae lost a wooded area. The house next door to the new lot is overwhelmed by one new house going up there.
 The area now looks crowded.
Second home is sitting no[t] fmished and no sign of work being done. 'They are allowing oversize homes to be built
for area. Acorn Road has terrible large home built on sma111ot?
Continuing construction in once-sleepy neighborhood. More housing changes traffic, etc. - however, more negative
was traffic from group home in neighborhood.
Loss of privacy - trees taken down - I guess that's called progress?
My view in back isn't as nice.
:3 the ducks and wild life no longer hang out; rny once private backyard now vistas a humongous house and barking
dogs. The house builtwas not the one proposed. Neighbors believe it is an eye-sore.
+ It ruined our view, less privacy, wetland was 'Iled in and habitat for animals damaged. I think it is a£ze risk I think
approving this kind of building is irresponsible! 'There were a lot of trees destroyed.
As much as I think it was okay for them to do it, the house is kind of a monstrosity and wrecked our view.
+ More traffic.
* Noise, trees being cut down, less deer.
Even scrubby understory has value in terms of birds, bugs, critters, etc. Too bad one lot could not hae been
maintained as "wild". I also expect run-off issues with a.in snow to worsen with more homes...more srzeious
surfaces are BAD. Also, I feel bad {r the people right next door. Pd feel screwed if I were them. More speeders too!
■ Didn't realize new homes would be so tall. Lot of dust and dirt, but I realize this is part of construction. (Tkey did rry
to water and clean up Parkerwhenever they could.)
■ Again, really too soon for fi:]I evaluation. Impacts on unoff/floading to neighboring properties wi I I not be known taJ.
corstrucion/landscaping is complete and spring unoff /summer rains occur. Impacts to wildlife, however, were
evident as soon as land clearing began. Wildlife (deer, etc.) are now barred £ro accessing wetlands /oper spaces from
the west. id17 passages/coridos blocked, deer are now being seen on streets and in yards more. oseve should
explore wildlife corridors and corridor set-aside width splits to insure a 1S to 20' corridor along the south edge of the
split would hae helped.
■ Short-e- ozsy. Lon-erm=Lass of natural habitat to wildlife; quality of extended neighborhood suffered with loss
of mature trees & buffer zone; low home-per-acre density.
■ All the trees, bushes were pulled out, grass plowed under on the 3 3/4 acres of land. Not environmentally good -
animals, birds were displaced. Shame on Mayor Clausig and all the council members who voted for this
development.
Reduction of trees, bird life, some drainage issues are apparent - but too early to tell.
Loss of privacy. Increased noise (taffc & construction).
' UY!
■ The scale of the houses is too large. They don't fit the neighborhood. And we hae another driveway directly onto
I-Iamline.
■ People on Hazke hae already had two h•, parties with 00+ people, loud music, alcohol, etc. Also they all built
fences and that zl.s flow of backyards.
■ Lights from the house facing amlxre shine into my bedroom, as do headlights from cars eting the driveway.
Almost constantly, 3 cars are parked outside and a garbage container sits outside 24/7. This is the view from my
February 24,2007 Draft 3 ai5
