Single-FamilyResidential Lot Split Study
Aesthetics of Neighhorhood
Two older unimproved homes on Parker at the subdivision site were removed.
Families/Selaals
Visibility for the neighborhood n_l visibiity that Roseville can be a place to grow with your family.
Fit/Cortext of Neighborhood
Definitely not! This development does not fit the neighborhood.
Property Values
These hame/lots are so high priced, it •i buoy rny home value. I also expect these new homes will add a greater
properiy tax base than the current housing stock.
LJltimately may increase value of our home - but that is not clear yet.
Other
Rea11y too soon to evaluate impacts. Only one house complete. Ask again z 6 months.
4. Have you noticed any nearive neighborhood impacts since the subdivision of this lot?
1 n•: 'c 3-' T c
If ves. what?
Aesthetics
Ug1y
it/Context of Neighborhood
Didn't realize new homes would be so tall. Lot of dust and dirt, but I realize this is part of consuuction. (They did tYy
to water and clean up Parker whenever they could.)
Hahitat/Oen Space/Trees
Noise, trees being cut down, less deer.
• Even scrubby understory has value in terms of birds, bugs, critters, etc. Too bad one lot could not hae been
maintained as"wild". I also expect run-off issues with rain snow to worsen with more homes.. .more impervious
surfaces are BAD. Also, I feel bad for the people right net door. Pd feel screwed if I were them. More speeders too!
■ Again, really too soon for full evaluation. Impacts on nano£/flooding to neighboring properties will not be known till
canstxuction/landscaaing is complete and sprig runof/summer ra.iis occur. Impacts r, wildlife, however, were
evident as soon as land clearing began. Wildlife (deer, etc.) are now barred from accessing wdands/oe spaces from
the west. Width passages/corridors blocked, deer are now being seen on streets and in yards more. Roseville should
explore wildlife corridors and corridor set-aside width splits to insure a 15' to 20' corridor along the south edge of the
split would hae helped.
Shozt-term=naisy. Lnng-ten=Z.oss of natural habitat to wildlife; quality of extended neighborhood suffered with loss
of mature trees & buffer zone; low home-per-acre density.
• All the trees, bushes were pulled out, grass plowed under on the 3 3/4 acres of land. Not environrnentaly good -
animals, birds were displaced. Shame on Mayor Clausing and all the council members who voted for this
develoument.
■ Reduction of trees, life, some drainage issues are apparent - but too early to tell.
Stormwater ftunoff/Ueainage
■ Evea. scrubby understoryhas value in terms of birds, bugs, critters, etc. Too bad one lot could not hae been
maintained as"wild".
