Then a Council public hearing <br />� will be held followed by �l�e adoption by the City Council. <br />4 The public participation methods that will continue to be used for this component of the <br />� i i planning process are: written comment, distribution of draft copies, newspaper, <br />� i informational presentations at local organization meetings, and informational brochures <br />!? and web site on comprehensive planning. <br />la Public Participation Methods <br />I a The following public participation methods will be utilized in the comprehensive <br />i� planning process described above. <br />I� Citizen Advisory Comprehensive Planning Commission <br />I? The City Council has appointed the Planning Commission to be the "planning agency or <br />I� committee" coordinating the planning in Roseville. The Commission may add citizen <br />i af committee members or experts from a variety of backgrounds to assist with the <br />�� development of the plan. The City Council can serve on the committee, but the chair of <br />� I the committee is normally a Planning Commission member. City planning and <br />?�? administrative staff will continue to provide support and resources. <br />�= The committee may invite key citizens for specific issues and not require them to remain <br />?� active members throughout the process. John Shardlow, the DSU planning consultant <br />�� will assist with facilitation of the preamble to planning: Roseville Past Present and <br />�G Future, and may provide some of the background research, and reviews the written <br />�' document as developed and reported by staff. The Planning Commission (as the planning <br />�� agency or committee) decides what is included in the plan and approves the contents of <br />�� the final document and recommends the ultimate adoption to the City Council as per <br />= � Statute. <br />t: <br />�t Participation at Plan Development Meetings and Informational Meetings <br />?.� Local residents and interested parties are encouraged to attend the comprehensive <br />�•I planning committee meetings and informational meetings throughout the process. During <br />?} the process the committee may invite key citizens for specific issues. Non-committee <br />a�� members can participate as equals throughout the meeting in the discussion of the topic at <br />
