Mr. Welsch addressed an apparent miseonception, c�ariiying that the Planning Commission had always pointed to -�he City Council £ox ihe communzty's vision; and that considexa�ion needed to be given to much broader issues �han the Comprehensive Plan update {i.e., finaricial direction and governance issues). Mr. Welsch not�d that administra�ive sta�'� was cuz-�ently compzling Requests for Proposa�s (RFP's} to assi�t the City Councii in determining how best to accomplish their internal goal se�ting process. Mr. Welsch no�ed tha� the Planning Commission and stafi had envisioned a �our manth interna� visioning process, then moving into the Connprehen�ive Planning process, to make the entire process more cohesive. Counc�lmember Pust suggested that the f rst siep be a j oint meeting of the Planning Commission and City Council to d��ermine what should be on the agenda; and concurred with sta£�, from her �'o�ner servzce on the City's P�anning Commission, that Commissioners were always respeeiiul o�' the City Councii's authority and governance and their own role in the proc�ss.
