The service agreement for fature grant a��lication,s on an hourly basis ($ I Q�Ihour) will not <br />exceed $5,0�0 per grant cycle and will also be 1�Q% paid for b the developers. T�e grant <br />applicaCian process is botll cansplex and tedious, but it also has been encouragea by the agencies <br />wl�ich have funded Phase l, Stage 1 of Twin Lakes. The grant applications are nor�nally due May <br />1 and November 1 of each year, consequently work need ta begin soon for future clean u� grants. <br />2.0 STAFF COMMENT <br />T�e staff has reviewed the alte:�iatives. In the past we have haa a fu11 trme econamic <br />development and grants specialist and this year wxll be hiring an entry level economic <br />development associate. The ex�ertise t�at an experienced cansultant, in this ease Ms. Ber�nett, <br />brings to Roseville will augment what the staf�will be teaching our entry level associate. <br />3A STAFF RECUMMENDATIQN <br />The staff recommends apprnvat of both 2406 one-year service agreements with Barsness <br />Consulting Services, for administration of current grants and far preparation of appiications for <br />future grants. <br />4.0 SUGGESTED COUNCIL ACTION <br />Sy mation approve the 2006 Serv�ice Agreements (attached} with Barsness Consulting Services, <br />Inc for adminisfratioa� a�current gran�ts and for preparation oiapp�icatious far future grar�ts, <br />and authorize the Mayor and City Manager to sign the Agreements, after review by t�e City <br />Attorney, with the understanding �hat all suc� work wi11 be paid far by the Twin Lakes <br />Developament Team. <br />Attachments: Proposed sen+ice agreements <br />'I'win Lakes Grant Admin-RCA-6213Q6 Page 2 <br />
