At most, there were l�ss <br />than 2,500 people wha Iived in the commut�ity. Pigs and cows, horses and sheep were <br />raised here. So were vegetables and flowers — many were grown and carted to families in <br />St. Paul. On the return trip, the area farmers broug�t the St. Paul garbage back to their <br />farms. They awned bi� parcels of land and spread their animals out on the land, and they <br />scattered tl�e St. Paul garbage to �eed their pigs. <br />Taday the City of Raseville stands where those farmers once operated. Or� a�arm that <br />once was 100 acres with one farmer's house and barn, today there are o�er 300 homes <br />and approxi�nately 900 residents. <br />In 1959 tl�e City Council adopted its Iocal laws. Domesticated anirnals were and are <br />defined as prohibited animaIs as per Section 407.02G which says: <br />407.42: NUISANCES AFFECTING I�EALTH, SAFETY, COMFORT <br />OR REPOSE: <br />The follo�Jing ar°e he�Reby c�eclal°ed to be �ublic nuisances uffecting health, safety, c�omfort <br />nr repnse: <br />A.
