City Cauncil Regular Meeting — 02113/0fi <br />DRAFT Minu�es - Page 24 <br />repeating her abjections and nating �he evident lack of consensus <br />and what wo�ld be accornplished; and �xpressed her lack of <br />support in "team building." <br />Councilmember Pust are�pectfully asked Councilmembers Ihlan <br />and Kaugh if they intended �o participate in the pracess. <br />Counci3member Ihlan stated her indecision at this time regarding <br />her involvement in the process; nating the time cancerns with a <br />professional career and Council s�rvic� and whether fh� time <br />would be a goad priority. <br />Counci�member Kough suggested that he would probably not <br />participate in the process. <br />Councilmember Pust expressed her disappointment in <br />Councilmember Kough'a and �hlan's decisions regarding their <br />involvement, noting their participation would serve as an <br />aff �-mation that they were tzying to work together; and opined <br />that the process wou�dn't be as effective if they chose nat to <br />participate. Councilmember Pu�t questioned the perceived fears <br />in working together v�rith an expert attempting to help the City <br />Council wark more efficiently �oge�her. Councilmember Pust, <br />for Councilmember Kough's benefit, clarified the process as a <br />communication tool, not an attempt to sway voting ar to discuss <br />substantive issue�; but as a way to resp�ct d�fferent learning and <br />expressive techniques to more e�fectively manage decision- <br />making, Council business and time. <br />Councilmember Kough opined tha� �here were volunteers in the <br />community who would provide theiar expertise at no charge to the <br />C�ty. <br />Councilmember Pust respectively reviewed ihe RFP process <br />again, and noted that the process included many names provided <br />to staff. <br />Councilmember Ihlan no�ed that a friend of hers had submitted a <br />resume, r�ot a full �roposal, but had not been listed in thase <br />considered. <br />
