����; Roseville Activity Center at Arona and Lydia closed and Roseville Parks <br />and Recreation moved to the Fairview Community Center, leasing approximately <br />5,000 sq ft of administrative, program and storage space as well as user access <br />to other meeting and activities resources housed within �airview. <br />����.; Staff presents a proposal for a Community Center to a joint meeting of the <br />City Council and Parks and Recreation Commission. Proposed site for a <br />Community Center/Water Park is the Parkview Center School. Proposal includes <br />outdoor and indoor pools and approximately 60,000 square feet of indoor <br />recreation, concession, and meeting space. Total Project Cost estimated at $10- <br />12 million. <br />����� At the request of Council Member Tom Kough the City Council authorizes <br />a community meeting on July 16 to gauge public interest in a Community Center. <br />Feedback and comments were collected regarding amenities, location, cost, <br />negatives, and general comments. <br />2002: Voter Referendum to add and upgrade non-recreationfacilities at City Hall <br />and the Maintenance Facility passes with 52% in favor. <br />2003 : Mayor Kysylyczyn convenes task force (exploratory committee) of <br />neighboring communities to consider a regional Community and Arts Center. <br />����� Staff ineets with Lifetime Fitness to discuss a private-public partnership to <br />construct a Community Center. (Meetings have occurred several times with <br />various for-profit and nonprofit private fitness providers in the past 15-20 years.) <br />
