Ihlan moved, Kough seconded, are-establishment of the Ethics Commission; <br />and charging them to complete their study and prepare a draft Ethics Code <br />for Council consideration. <br />Mayor Klausing spoke in apposition ta the motion. <br />RoII Cail <br />Ayes: Ih�an and Kough. <br />Nays: Pust; Maschka and Klausing. <br />Motion failed. <br />City Attorney Anderson suggested that individual Councilmembers provide <br />their proposed amendments io the City Attorney's office ta allaw <br />incorporation and consolidation of alI items; in an effort to draft a document <br />that would receive unanimous approval by the City Council, xather than <br />ongoing amendments at the bench. <br />Councilmember Kough reques�ed a"strike out" vers�on to save time and <br />effork for Cauncilmembers' review. <br />Councilmember Ihlan expressed cancern that responses to concerns weren't <br />often included in the drafts from the Ciiy Attorney's office. <br />Mayor Klausing expressed his wzllingness to �urther consider the "No <br />Consultant" version; and suggested that the dacument, as amended with <br />elimination of Paragraph F entitled, "Use of Position" for additional <br />commen� from the Council and public. <br />Klau�ing moved, Kough seconded, tabling action on the proposed Ethics <br />Commission Ordinance until the June 12, 200b regular City Cauncil <br />meeting. <br />Rflil Cali <br />Ayes: Pust; Maschka; 7hlan; Kough and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />
