Councilmember Pust, however, <br />noted that concerns needed to be recognized as a society to <br />protect our environment, and the "Not in my backyard" <br />philosophy served no one. Councilmember Pust opined that the <br />testimony heard by the applicant and representatives tonight had <br />been straightforward, and she would personally hold them <br />accountable, as would the City Council, for their follow-through <br />on the project, as addressed in the amended motion and <br />conditions attached. <br />Councilmember Pust asked that every member of the <br />community, whatever their differing views on the project, seek <br />accurate information, and hold discussions based on fact, not fear <br />tactics, and not support moving Roseville's possible <br />contamination materials to the City of Little Canada. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Pust; Maschka; Kough and Klausing. <br />Nays: Ihlan. <br />Mayor Klausing thanked the applicant; staff and the public for <br />their comments and the discussion. <br />8. Consider Jim Alexander's Request for an Interim Use Permit <br />for Temporary Living Quarters at 920 Parker Avenue <br />Mayor Klausing apologized to Mr. Alexander for lateness of the <br />hour and his request being delayed. <br />City Planner Paschke reviewed Mr. Alexander's request for an <br />Interim Use Permit, in accordance with City Code Section <br />1012.09, to allow establishment of a temporary residence and <br />storage pod, while he reconstructs his existing home, beginning <br />in May/Jun� 2006 and extending to November/Dec�mb�r 2006. <br />Mr. Paschke noted that Mr. Alexander's contractor had <br />purchased the existing home and garage, with plans to move it <br />out of Ro�eville. Mr. Paschke noted Mr. Alexander's intent to <br />live in an RV camper on the premises, and store his personal <br />belongings in a temporary storage pod, during construction.
