Change orders are as follows: <br />1. Change Order # 1 in the amount of $'la$,204.6� for brine piping <br />replacement and re-insulation. <br />�- Change Order # 2 in the amount of (-$2,388.00) for replacement of <br />safety valves, brine pump #2, replace relief valves and delete the Brine <br />replacement cost due to �lnivar/Daw Chemical Donation <br />�� Change Order # 3 in the amount of $6,727.40 for brine pump electrical <br />work, flow switch replacement, shaft seal repair, and expansion tank <br />air vent replacement <br />�� Change Order # 4 in the amount of $891.62 for the replacement of <br />three way ammonia valves on the chiller <br />� Change Order # 5 in the amount of (-$3,084.02) for liquidated <br />damages. <br />It is anticipated that there are a few outstanding projects yet to be completed that <br />will utilize the remainder or close to the remainder of the $v00K contributed by <br />the Guidant Foundation. <br />POLICY OBJECTIVE <br />The bidding process was consistent with city policy and state law on performing <br />necessary repairs for the safe operation of the city infrastructure. <br />The acceptance of the donations by the Friends of the OVAL Foundation for the <br />payment of the repairs in order to reduce the city costs is also consistent with city <br />policy. <br />FINANCIAL IMPLICATION <br />The cost for the repairs and upgrades were paid for by the Friends of the OVAL <br />Foundation (FOF) with funds donated by the Guidant Foundation. No City funds <br />were used for the�airs. <br />— STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br />Based upon the process followed and that this phase of the repairs are complete, <br />staff recommends the acceptance of all change orders and the final closeout of <br />the OVAL chiller and related repair projects at the Roseville Skating Center - <br />Guidant John Rose Minnesota OVAL. <br />
