Paint all piping support systems with one coat of primer and two coats of enamel. Color to be <br />selected by Owner. In addition to providing start up senrices as specified in Section 131811.3.5, clean strainers <br />throughout warranty period until no debris is found. Clean strainers at start-up, afler one <br />month of operation and every 3 months thereafterthrough the warranty period or until there is <br />no debris found in the strainers whichever is shorter. The strainers shall be cleaned more <br />frequently if they adversely affect the pump operation in any way. <br />K Inspect relief valves on existing expansion tank. Report condition to the Engineer. <br />L Clean existing gear operated butterfly valves. Drill and tap new connection holes as required <br />where existing bolts broke off. <br />r�l . A�er the system has been pressure tested and accepted, re-insulate brine piping system with <br />2" of Type 5 e�ruded polystyrene and jacketing as specified in section 13�814.2.6. Jacketing <br />shall be yellow in color. Re-insulate valves with Type 3 insulation as specified in section <br />131814.2.6. Installation and other materials shall meet the specification requirements. Make <br />provisions on strainers and check valves so insulation can be easily removed and reinstalled <br />for routine maintenance and frequent access. Note that 15 butterFly valves, check valves and <br />the rink pumps are to be re-insulated under the base bid. <br />N Delete Alternate for steel frame work on each side of chiller. Since the shop drawings have <br />already been generated for this work $855.00 will be paid to the contractor, The amount <br />deducted from the contract for this work will be $8500.00 -$855.00 =$8,415,00. <br />�. Since a building permit was not required for this project the full amount of the permit will be <br />deducted from the contract. The price of the permit is $1,180.40. <br />���-;� <br />
