The area is located at 1021 Larpenteur
Avenue just east of Lexington Avenue. The owner of the property, Greenhouse Village
Properties, LLC, was under contract with Stokco Speedling to perform watermain installation.
The work was completed in September 2005 and we received all final documents for this proj ect
in June. The owner and the contractor have agreed about final payment and the owner is now
requesting that the City Council accept the watermain extension for maintenance purposes.
Policy objectives: City Policy requires the following steps be completed to finalize the
construction project:
X Certification from the civil engineer in charge of the project verifying that all work has been
completed in accordance with the City of Roseville's plans and specifications.
X A resolution by the City Council accepting the project and beginning the one-year warranty
period
Financial implications: The work performed on this site was by a private developer without any
direct cost to the City. The developer, Greenhouse Village Properties, LLC, is responsible for
any payments for work completed by subcontractors,
Staff recommendation: All necessary items have been completed in accordance with proj ect
plans and specifications. Since all items L~. kr rlt as outlined in the policy regarding
final project acceptance, staff recommends the City Council adopt a resolution accepting the
public watermain extension as constructed.
RECOMMENDED COUNCIL ACTION:
Adopt a resolution accepting the public utilities constructed as outlined in the public improvement
contract for GREENHOUSE VILLAGE.
Prepared by: Debra Bloom
