Peddling and Saliciting: <br />1.'T'�e practice af going hause-ta-house, dQO�-fQ-(�OAf, business-to-business, stree#- <br />�' to-street, or any other type of place-to-place, for ihe purposes of offering far sale or <br />obtaining, or attempting ta obtain, orders for goods, wares, products, merchandise, <br />other personal property or services if conducted in the following manner: <br />a. Obstructing the free flaw of either vehicular or pedestrian traffic on any <br />street, alley, sidewalk or other pubiic rig�at-a f way; <br />b. Conducting husiness in a way as to create a threat to the health, safery and <br />welfare af any individual or the general public; <br />c. Conducting business before 7:00 a.m. or after 9:04 p.m. <br />d. Making any false or misleading statements about the product or service heiiig <br />offered, including untrue statements of endorsement; <br />e. Remaining on the property af another when requested to leave, or to <br />otherwise conduct business irf a manner a rea�onable person wouid find <br />obscene, threatening, intimidating or abusive. <br />2. Entering the paroperiy of anotk�er, unless invitec3 to do so by the property owner or <br />tenant, for the purpose of conducting business as a peddler or solicitor when the <br />property is marked witli a sign or placard at least faur inches long and four inches <br />wide with print at least 48 pflint in size stating "No Trespassing"or "No Peddlers or <br />Solicitors," ar "Peddlers and Solicitors Prohibited" or other comparable sta�emen�. <br />Removing, defacingor otherwise tamperingwith any sign or placard under this <br />section by a person other than the property owner or tenant. <br />(Ord. 1293, 8-11-2003} <br />I. Service Stations: Operation of a business involving the sale of motor fuel and/or the <br />repair of motor vehicles in the following nnaz�ner: <br />� I. The use of service station premises for the sale, or �'ar display in aid of sale, of any <br />motor vehicie. <br />2. The use of service station prernises far storage of damaged or abandoned mator <br />vehicies for in excess of seven (7) days without a directive of the Chief of Police. <br />3. The stari�ig of or the aliowing of accum�lation of any of the following items on <br />service station premises in view of adjacent land: <br />a. LJsed oil cans. <br />b. Discarded auto parts. <br />c. Discarded tires. <br />d. Any other iterr�s of similar debris. <br />4. Operating a service station with prernises that dnes not have its en�ire area covered <br />by the following: building, concrete or bituminous paving and grass, well maintained <br />or other well maintained slu�ubbery. <br />5. Allowing tires ta be sold or dispiayed for saie vcrithin view af the adjacent lai�d <br />unless the same are displayed in a rack during business hours. Building Maintenance and Appeara��ce: Buildings, fences, and other structures, <br />which ha�ve been so pooriy maintained that their physical condition and appearance <br />detract from the surrounding neighbarhood are declared to he public n�isances <br />because they: 1} are uinsigh�y, 2) decrease adjoining landowners' and occupants <br />enjoyment of their p:roperty and neighborhood, and 3) adversely affect property <br />- - values and neigiaborhood pattern. <br />� K.
