City Council Regular Meeting-10123106 <br />DRAFT Minutes - Page 20 <br />Further discussion included the anticipated length of the meetings <br />on October 31 and November 16; delivery to each <br />Councilmember at their home this week of blind application <br />pacicets for eight candidates selected by PDI for Councilmember <br />review and individual ranl�ing; and time allotted for each <br />interview, estimated at'/z hour each. <br />Pust moved, Maschlca seconded, a motion accepting the following <br />people to serve on the City Manager Interview Panel: <br />Internal Grou External Grou <br />Dona Bacon Duane Schwartz Ann Be �ill �i2tj�S <br />Lonnie Bxokke Maureen Sikorra Rollin Hunsicker Ron Morse <br />Mar aret Driscoll Carol Sletn�� Richard Jacobson John �'ias,au <br />Rich Gasawa John Stark Karl Keel Ro er Toogoad <br />Councilmember Ihlan noted that, with respect to the external <br />panelists, that ratification was being given after the fact; and <br />sought a way to allow any interested party in participating in the <br />process. <br />Councilmember Pust opined that, there would be some <br />opportunity for all of the interested public to meet the candidates <br />on November 16. Councilmember Pust advised her that they <br />were comfortable with the panelists chosen; and she encouraged <br />other interested citizens to come forward at the November I6`�' <br />meeting. <br />Further discussion was held regarding the November 16`� <br />meeting, and the preference for a forum or social-style meeting. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Kough; Maschlca; Ihlan; Pust and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />Councilmember Ihlan opined that she didn't feel the October 31, <br />2006 Special City Council meeting provided a solution by asl�ing <br />Council candidates to participate without being able to vote; since <br />the current City Council would be mal�ing the decision on the <br />new City Manager. Councilmember Ihlan reiterated her previous <br />statement regarding her disappointment in the process itself and <br />the timing; opining that it was set up to ensure that the outgoing <br />
