The <br />area at McCarrons i s the four acre natural area around the ponds at the south end of the <br />park The areas at Josephine are a 0.5 acre lakescaping planting north of the swimming <br />beach and a 4 acre prairie site on the south side of Little Josephine. These burns are <br />necessary to manage the native vegetation. <br />The burns will be conducted on days when the winds will blow the smoke away from any <br />houses or roads. Ramsey County will provide adequate equipment and personnel to <br />accomplish the burns as we have in the past. <br />Please issue the permit for a period from 1 April through 10 May to give us a flexible <br />schedule to have proper weather conditions. <br />Please cal me at 651-748-2500, ext 347, if you have any questions.
