Special projects as assigned <br />Minimum Qualifications: <br />Minimum job requirements are specialized training beyond high school that can be obtained in one <br />year or less and 2 years of related experience, or equivalent. Must have experience with word <br />processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software programs with a minimum typing speed of <br />SOwpm and the ability to transcribe documents from audiotape. Good secretarial skills and <br />knowledge of computer, fax machine, calculator, and copy machine etc. Ability to work tactfully <br />and effectively with the public, elected officials, City employees and outside agencies. Ability to <br />handle confidential material and work independently. Requires public contact on a daily and <br />continuous basis, requiring a high degree of tact, courtesy, and sound judgment. <br />Physical Demands & Warkin� Conditions: <br />Most work is in a normal office environment. Limited lifting of twenty five pounds or less is <br />required up to 15% of the time. Overtime is occasionally required to complete job tasks. <br />The Office Assistant is responsible for the management of day to day department functions, many of <br />which have deadlines and require significant attention to detail. Approximately 15 - 45% of �l�e <br />time, work is performed at a high level of detail and pressure of deadlines. <br />Attachment C <br />
