�� 1 �EI� n��na�� TO: Debra Bloom, City of Roseville FROM: George Calebaugh, SEH DATE: Apri16, 2005 RE: Rosedale Center Expansion Traffic Review Off-Site Roadway Improvements and Cost Estimate SEH No. A-ROSEV9801.00 As requested, a scope of wark and estimated cost was developed far the off-site roadway improvements required for proposed re-developmentiexpansion of the Rosedale Center. The proposed roadway improvements are based primarily on the findings of the 3/7I05 traffic study by Parsons. The proposed roadway improvements include adding and lengthening turn lanes at two intersections, modifying signal systems at four intersections, and providing a new signal timing plan far the coordinated signal systems along County Road B2 and along Fair�iew Avenue near the Rosedale Center. Changes to the intersection lanes are proposed at the County Road B21AmericanlNort� Mall Entrance � intersection and at the County Road B2ISouthbou�c� TH 51 RamplNorthoast Mall Entrance intersection. At the County Road B2lA�nericanlNortl� Mall Entrance intersection, a 170-foot southbound left turn lane will be added (creating a double left turn far the southbound approach) and the e�sting westbound left turn lane will be lengthened to 300 feet (creating back-to-back left turn lanes with the eastbound left turn lane at the County Road B21So�thboui�d TH 51 RamplNortlaeast Mall Entrance intersection). At the County Road B21Soutl�bo€�nd TH 51 Rartnp/Nartheast Mall Entrance intersection, a 75-foot southbound left turn lane will be added and the existing eastbound left turn lane will be lengthened to 340 feet. The estimated cost far this intersection lane work is $215,000 ($186,000 for construction and $29,000 for design and construction engineering). The signal timing plan work will involve all the coordinated signal systems along Fairview Avenue and County Road B2 near the Rosedale Center. Two sets of timing plans will be developed.
