City Council Regular Meeting— 04/11/OS <br />DRAFT Minutes - Page 6 <br />community, recognizing the great amount of time and work <br />involved in doing so. <br />Ms. Barsel advised Councilmembers that, in the near <br />future, she would be providing information related to <br />environmental and public health concerns in the use and <br />application of lawn chemicals and their eventual <br />contamination of water sources. Ms. Barsel noted that she <br />had not been entirely successful in obtaining cooperation <br />from commercial application companies in supplying <br />requested MDSS (Material Data Safety Sheets) and prior <br />notice of application. Ms. Barsel encouraged Council <br />review of the materials and further discussion. <br />H. Dan Roe, 2100 Avon Street N <br />Mr. Roe thanked the City Council for tonight's Town Hall <br />opportunity. Mr. Roe followed up on Mr. Toogood's <br />comments related to recycling, and questioned if the <br />Council would be sponsoring a beautification or clean up <br />project this year, similar to that coordinated by <br />Councilmember Kough last year. <br />City Manager Beets advised that, while "Sentenced to <br />Serve" clean up crews were being utilized where possible, <br />individuals or neighborhoods wishing to organize clean up <br />details were encouraged to contact City Hall for equipment <br />and safety vests for areas needing special attention. Mr. <br />Beets noted that the City had scheduled a City park clean <br />up later this month, and invited interested people to contact <br />City Hall for moxe information and specifics. <br />Mr. Roe suggested that the City increase awareness and <br />publicity related to this within the community. <br />I. John Gulbranson,1159 Karyl Place <br />Mr. Gulbranson opined that one of the greatest assets to <br />Roseville was its citizen volunteers, and recognized the <br />number of citizens he encountered picking up trash along <br />the highways and streets. Mr. Gulbranson complimented <br />the City Council on the creation of Lexington Park and his <br />observations of the number of users. Mr. Gulbranson <br />
