City Council Regular Meeting — 04/11/OS
DRAFT Minutes - Page 4
review was that most communities didn't do so.
Mayor Klausing thanked Ms. Hilden for her comments.
Mayor Klausing noted that the City's T-R1 was currently
looking at the possibility of an ordinance for annual
licensing inspections of rental properties. Mayor Klausing
noted that, since neighborhood associations were not a
function of the City, they were not always identified, but
assured citizens that the City would encourage them and
would be interested in discussing ways the City could
facilitate those organizations.
D. John Goedeke, 2674 Virginia Avenue
Mr. Goedeke expressed his interest in reviewing the term
sheet for the Twin Lakes Redevelopment project, and
questioned when it would be available for the public.
City Manager Beets advised that the item was scheduled
for discussion at the City Council's April 18, 2005 Study
Session; with Council packets available the Thursday
before, and availability on the City's website the Friday
before the meeting.
Mr. Goedeke also spoke in support of the OVAL,
recognizing the numerous negative comments about the
construction, but noting the number of users at the facilities
by individuals and youth organizations. Mr. Goedeke
opined that the OVAL was not the only City facility that
needed to be subsidized (i.e., Central Park and Harriet
Alexander Nature Center) and represented a small sum and
portion of the City's budget. Mr. Goedeke encouraged
further review and careful consideration of the future of the
OVAL and the findings of the Task Force regarding future
operation and maintenance.
Mr. Goedeke concluded his comments, from his
perspective as a former Councilmember, by thanking the
Councilmembers for their service to the community of
Roseville.
E. Randy Neprash,1276 Eldridge Avenue W
