Bid results will be brought back to Council for
review and authorization.
POLICY OBJECTIVE
The proposed project and the use of consultants are consistent with city policy
and state law on performing repairs necessary for the safe operation of the City
infrastructure.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATION
The cost for engineering services to develop plans, specifications and advertise
for bids as outlined is in the original proposal from Stevens Engineering.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Based upon all of the prior efforts staff recommends that the City proceed to the
next step for engineering services which is to develop plans, specification and
advertise for bids to re-tube the chiller barrel, replace the existing brine solution,
repair seals in brine pumps and to identify and add alternates for newlimpraed
monitoring equipment that allow closer monitoring of the system. Bid results will
be brought back to Council for review and authorization.
COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED
Motion authorizin the Parks and Recreation Department to move forward with
Stevens ri.gi:a to prepare final documents and assist with bidding as
outlined in the original engineering proposal that was approved on March 21,
2005.
