Project Administration <br />The charge of tl�e Rose of Many Colors Arts Series is to grow arts in our community. <br />Rose cf Marzy Colors lll granting p�-acess: <br />• The directive of t11e R1l�CIXZ organizing team is to continue to build on the two previous RMC arts <br />ser-�es aFZd offer a re-granting arts initiative that focuses on ethnic ex�os�re, family involvement and <br />community connections. Tcam members will be selected from the local arts coinmunity and include <br />representation �r�7 n� Roseville Parks and Recreation and Human Rights Commissions, Roseville Area <br />Arts Council, Roseville Area Schools and RMC a�un�ni artists. <br />Tne organizing team will; <br />o Invite previous RMC artists to submit applications for the current series. A.z-fasl who received <br />funding from both of the RNIC series will not be eligible for RMC lll funding. RMC alumni <br />are eligible for up to twenty-five percent of the mini grants awarded. <br />o Encourage area artists to submit proposals for consideration. Maxiinizc local media resources <br />to solicit a strong sampling ofproposals. <br />o Create a granting structure and finalize financial details. A minimum of eight grants will be <br />awarded, with the potential of up to a ma�mum of fourteen gran�s. Grants of up to $1000 will <br />be awarded. <br />o Review proposals and award grants. <br />o Encourage participation and promote program opportunities. Schedule �rogramslpro�ect� well <br />in advance to ensure inclusion in community publications for the most wide-spread marketing <br />effort to reach potential first-time participants. <br />o Evaluate arts activities and document observations and feedback. <br />Criteria for evaluating proposals; <br />o Does the proposal fit within the project focus of ethnic exposure, family involvement and <br />community connections? <br />o Does the artist have a connection to the Roseville community? <br />o Does the proposal have the potential to draw first time arts participants? <br />o Does the proposal have the potential to be expanded in tl�e future? Can this event lead to an <br />established arts experience in the community? <br />o Is the proposal unique to cunent can�nunity arts experiences? <br />o Dose the proposal leave a legacy to the community? <br />o Does the proposed proj ect take place within the City of Roseville or within the boundaries of <br />the Roseville Area School District? <br />Rose of Marxy Colors IZI is open to all arts disciplines. Projects may include demonstrations, <br />exhibits, performances, displays, events, festivals and classes. Artists arc encouraged to be creative in <br />their presentations. Proposals that do ilot include z�voIvemelit by the community as participants or as <br />an audience will not be considered. Organizing team members will also strive for a balance between <br />the arts disciplines when co��sidei-�ng awards <br />Special Cansidcrations <br />o Progt�air�slp�ojects must take place between February 1, 2005 and September 1, 2005. <br />o All activities n«i=l comply �with the non-dzsc�.�ination policy of the City of Roseville. <br />o Activities must take place in the City of Roseville or within Roseville Area Schools <br />geographic boundaries and must be o�en to the public for viewing. Additionally, selected <br />grantees �l7ust a�-ee to video taping for broadcast or re-broadcast, to photographs for <br />promotion and docu�ne�atation or audio taping for post event playbacks. <br />
