Group 4 <br />Ag�1g housing; maintenance of older l�p�ines is a challenge (in many ways) for seniors <br />• Young �az�z�ies are not moving into the school district, thus schools are closing <br />■ Group homes—lose families when single-family houses are converted to group homes; <br />they are clustering in some areas; operations are a disturbance in neighborhood <br />Rental properly—single-family homes being converted to rental; maintenance <br />enforcements is needed <br />■ Who is gong to live in multi-family housing? Are Roseville seniors moving into senior <br />housing that's being built? Need inore affordable senior housing so seniors have a <br />reasonable financial alternative to staying in their houses. <br />• Loss of open space to high density development <br />• New and remodeled housing is changing the character of the neighborhood <br />• Need �ore "cottage-style" housing for seniors; asset to neighborhood and good design <br />for seniors <br />Non-housing Issues <br />Increase in traffic r�1 neighborhoods (mentioned by two groups) <br />Neighborhood is less drivable—parking is a problem during snow removals and there <br />is no clean-up after snow removal, parking regulations are not being obeyed nor <br />enforced <br />• Inadequate public transit service <br />• Maplewood Bus Barn—promises that were made about operations are not being kept, <br />because it is in Maplewood Roseville residents feel powerless and that there is little <br />they can do to demand accountability <br />■ Crime Watch signs have gone down and up with no neighborhood input <br />• Parks need to have a long-r°a�1ge maintenance plan that keeps at maintenance (parks <br />need to be refurbished more frequently) <br />Loss of open space to development <br />• Parks are an asset they must have on-going maintenance in addition to periodic <br />upgrades and improvements; vandalism in parks is increasing, Villa Park is an <br />example <br />Deer, a good and bad thing—bad: eat landscape vegetation, contribute to traffic <br />accidents; good: people like having them around <br />What is going into the house at 320 N.
