Routes <br />City Manager Beets displayed several maps showing the <br />revising routes. Councilmember Ihlan noted that this was <br />on a probationary basis. Councilmember Ihlan thanked the <br />City Council for passing the resolution, noting that the <br />Metropolitan Council took the City's support seriously; and <br />thanked the community members who provided testimony. <br />Councilmember Kough acknowledged the lobbying for <br />routes done by residents of Coventry Apartments in <br />Roseville, and thanked and encouraged residents to ride the <br />bus to keep the routes going. <br />Councilmember Ihlan noted that a marketing representative <br />from Metropolitan Transit would provide additional <br />information to the City Council at a formal presentation at <br />a later date. <br />Councilmember Schroeder concurred with Councilmember <br />Kough and Ihlan's comments, noting that changes to the <br />Circulator Routes would be implemented on Saturday, <br />September 10; and fare increases had gone into effect on <br />July 1, 2005. Councilmember Schroeder encouraged <br />residents to "use it or lose it," noting reduction in routes <br />would only further inflate fuel costs and create additional <br />traffic congestion. <br />6. Continuation of the Public Hearing on Lovell Reconstruction Continuation of the <br />Acting Mayor Maschka opened the Public Hearing at 6:25 p.m. Public Hearing on <br />Lovell <br />City Engineer Debra Bloom reviewed the background and Reconstruction <br />location of Neighborhood 32 proposed improvements for <br />Chatsworth Street (Lovell Avenue to Grandview Avenue) and Continued to <br />Lovell Avenue (Cul-de-sac to Chatsworth Street). Ms. Bloom 8/08/OS <br />noted that staff had been facilitating further discussions between <br />representatives of the Rose of Sharon Nursing Home and Real <br />Life Church. Staff was recommending that the project be <br />included in the bidding for the South Owassa Boulevard or <br />Raselawn improvement contracts. Staff provided several <br />alternatives, noting that a consensus should be forthcoming, but <br />had not yet been achieved between the parties; in additional to <br />
