Mr. Volin expressed the church's continued preference <br />for reconsideration by the City Council for repair of the street <br />rather than total reconstructionas a cost-saving measure. <br />Councilmember Maschka and Mayor Klausing encouraged <br />church representatives to make their case at the upcoming <br />assessment hearing. <br />Ms. Bloom noted that the assessments would not be fmalized <br />until approximately one year after completion of construction, <br />with hearings anticipated in 2007, and there would be continued <br />public meetings and discussions during that time, with <br />additional conversations regarding previous assessments for the <br />church. <br />Rose Mossens(`�}/Mausens(?), Grandview Avenue <br />Ms. �Vlausens thanked the City Council and staff; noting <br />residents had received a letter from the City Engineer regarding <br />tonight's staff recommendation, thus the few residents in <br />attendance, given their concurrence with staff recommendation. <br />Ms. 1V�ausens noted the total opposition of the neighborhood for <br />the previous proposals. <br />Maschka moved, Schroeder seconded, adoption of Resolution <br />No. 10322 entitled, "Resolution Ordering the Construction of <br />Improvement P-ST-OS-02, Neighborhood 32-Lovell Avenue;" <br />from Chatsworth Street to the cul-de-sac; as outlined in the <br />Request for Council Action dated August 8, 2005; and adoption <br />of Resolution No. 10323 entitled, "Resolution Approving Plans <br />and Specifications and Ordering Advertisement for Bids for �'- <br />ST-OS-02." <br />Councilmember Ihlan requested more detail on staffs <br />recommendation for reconstruction rather than repair; with staff <br />providing that information and displaying pictures of road <br />conditions. <br />Further discussion included the process and schedule; and <br />ongoing mill and overlay projects by the City and County on <br />
