City Council Regular Meeting — 09/12/05 <br />DRAFT Minutes - Page 8 <br />designating September 15 to October 15, 2005 to be <br />Hispanic Heritage Month in the City of Roseville. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Schroeder; Ihlan; Kough and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />S.b Recognition of Hubert and Julianne Thibodeau <br />Donation to Replace Police Canine <br />City Manager Beets introduced Mr. Hubert & Mrs. <br />Julianne Thibodeau, Police Chief Sletner, and Canine <br />Officers: Sgt. Christianson and canine partner Cooper; Sgt. <br />Jorgenson and canine partner Major; and Sgt. Martin and <br />canine partner Velo. <br />Chief Sletner noted that, during the recent National Night <br />Out, a visit between Canine Officers and Mr. � Mrs. <br />Thibodeau had created an awareness of the expected <br />retirement of one of the canines; and Mr. 8� Mrs. <br />Thibodeau's interest in providing a donation to cover <br />expected expenses in replacing the canine. <br />Chief Sletner expressed her personal and the department's <br />appreciation for the Thibodeau's generous donation to the <br />canine program. <br />Kough moved, Schroeder seconded, approval to accept the <br />donation of $8,000 from the Thibodeau family to cover <br />related expenses for procuring and training another Police <br />Department canine. <br />Each Councilmember expressed their personal appreciation <br />to Mr. & Mrs. Thibodeau; and Mayor Klausing, on behalf <br />of the City Council, staff and the community thanked the <br />Thibodeau family for their generosity. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Schroeder; Ihlan; Kough and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />Recognition of <br />Thibodeau <br />Donation to <br />Replace Pvlice <br />Canine <br />
