JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT <br />FOR THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE EXTENSION OF TELEPHONY SERVICES <br />AND NETWORK SUPPORT TO THE CITY OF MOUNDS VI�W <br />TI�1S AGREEMENT, entered into by and between the CITY OF ROSEVILLE, a <br />Minnesota municipal corporation ("Roseville"), and the CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW a <br />Minnesota municipal corporation ("Mounds View"), is effective upon the execution of this <br />Agreement by the named officers of both cities. <br />RECITALS <br />WHEREAS, Mounds View owns Cisco Interworking Protocol (IP) telephony <br />handsets, voice gateways and other Cisco IP telephony peripheral equipment; and <br />WHEREAS, Mounds View requires access to Cisco IP telephony control <br />equipment which includes Call Manager, Unity Voice Mail, and other associated Cisco <br />IP control devices and; <br />WHEREAS, Mounds View requires technical support to operate and maintain <br />this equipment and; <br />WHEREAS, ROSEVILLE has these existing Cisco Internet Protocol (IP) control <br />equipment capable which can be extended to Mounds View and; <br />WHEREAS, ROSEVILLE has an established Information Technology <br />Department and technical employees that are able to provide the services required by <br />Mounds View and; <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute 471.�� authorizes political subdivisions of the <br />State to enter into Joint Powers Agreements for the joint exercise of powers common to <br />each. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, it is mutually stipulated and agreed to as follows: <br />1. SERVICES <br />A Roseville shall provide qualified management information systems <br />employees of Roseville ("Employees") to perform telephony and related network <br />technical services required by Mounds View. These services include the following: <br />. Support of Mounds View's II� telephony services and equipment. <br />. Access to Roseville's Cisco IP telephony control equipment. <br />
