2.2 In 2003, the Roseville Housing & Redevelopment Authority �Hf�r�'� approved and the Council <br />adopted the Housing Plan for Roseville (see attachment"$"). This plan created goals and <br />policies to guide future housing developmentproposals. The Housing Plan is Section 6 of the <br />RosevilleComprehensivePlan; any discussionregarding density, lot size, housingtype, etc., <br />should include the IIRA and the Planning Commission. <br />Components of the �� "Housing Plan" relating to increased densities_ affordable and <br />workforce �ausin� ta encourage additional opportunities to attract and retain young <br />families in Roseville. <br />Excerptfrom -Preamble: <br />One of the key ob,}ectives of the HRA is to �rovide housing �rograms and promote safe, <br />decent and af�arda�ile housin� ontions far the community. The IIRA �� ����i r�� Plan (the <br />"Housing Plan") serves as a guide in the planning and policies related to providing a <br />community rich in housin� a[ualitv and choices for all residents of the CitX. <br />Excerpt from - HRA Housing Goals <br />To provide a balance of housing in price and product type to meet life cycle <br />needs of the community the �iRA.'s goals are: <br />1.1 Develop and promote programs that provide choice and diversitv in the <br />housing stock to include a varietv of affordable housin� ontions. <br />. �,� Excerpt from - HousingAction ��eps/Implementatinn Strategies .,�..� <br />-: � -� ' ..�_:.� ... . � <br />4�3 Develop affordable workforce housin� policies and programs. <br />2. Explore the merits of establishing an incCusionary_ housin� paricy <br />whereby developers are provided with increased densitv (smaller lot <br />sizes, narrower roads) to achieve affordable workforce housing goals. <br />412 Continuously review and evaluate the policy statements and action steps as a <br />result of the 2005 NeighborhoodDialogue Meetingswith residents and <br />business leaders. <br />3.
