�.� Consultations with Councilmembers, the City Manager, and Department Heads. d.� Weekly meeting with City Staff. e.� Drafting and revision of ordinances, resolutions and regulations. f� Review of municipal contracts, joint powers agreements, and the like; Review of contractorivendor bond and insurance documents. g.� Research and preparation of legal opinions on municipal or other legal matters, including open meeting �aw/dat� practices issues and general municipal employment matters. h.� Providing updates on significant developments in laws affecting the City. i.� Providing a yearly legislative update. 1.1.2 Scope of Services: The parties intend that the scope of legal services described in paragraph 1.1.1 above shall include all civil legal services required by the City (except as expressly excluded or qualifiedh�r�iz�.) and shall also be consistent with the scope of services provided by the Law Firm during the first three years of services provided to the City. 1.2 Non-Retainer Matters: The parties contemplate that the Law Firm may also provide civil legal services outside the scope of services covered by the retainer as described in paragraph 1.1 above. These non-retainer services shall be handled as follows: 1.2.1 Contested Case Matters: The Law Firm will provide, and the City may utilize the Law Firm for representation in contested cases, provided the City has the right to select counsel in the contested case, and provided the City determines, in its reasonable discretion, tha�t the Law Firm has the skill and experience to represent the City in a fashion that the City deems to be in its best interests given the expertise, costs, and litigation service delivery available from other ;
