�.� Consultations with Councilmembers, the City Manager, and <br />Department Heads. <br />d.� Weekly meeting with City Staff. <br />e.� Drafting and revision of ordinances, resolutions <br />and regulations. <br />f� Review of municipal contracts, joint powers <br />agreements, and the like; Review of <br />contractorivendor bond and insurance <br />documents. <br />g.� Research and preparation of legal opinions on <br />municipal or other legal matters, including open <br />meeting �aw/dat� practices issues and general <br />municipal employment matters. <br />h.� Providing updates on significant developments in <br />laws affecting the City. <br />i.� Providing a yearly legislative update. <br />1.1.2 Scope of Services: The parties intend that the scope of legal services <br />described in paragraph 1.1.1 above shall include all civil legal <br />services required by the City (except as expressly excluded or <br />qualifiedh�r�iz�.) and shall also be consistent with the scope of <br />services provided by the Law Firm during the first three years of <br />services provided to the City. <br />1.2 Non-Retainer Matters: The parties contemplate that the Law Firm may <br />also provide civil legal services outside the scope of services covered by the <br />retainer as described in paragraph 1.1 above. These non-retainer services <br />shall be handled as follows: <br />1.2.1 Contested Case Matters: The Law Firm will provide, and the City <br />may utilize the Law Firm for representation in contested cases, <br />provided the City has the right to select counsel in the contested case, <br />and provided the City determines, in its reasonable discretion, tha�t the <br />Law Firm has the skill and experience to represent the City in a <br />fashion that the City deems to be in its best interests given the <br />expertise, costs, and litigation service delivery available from other <br />; <br />
