8. I move to direct the public works department to reduce the number of <br />commercial lights, {$3,DOD}, so these funds can be used to lower our use <br />of reserves. <br />9. I move to delete the public works traffic simulation model ($25,000), so <br />these funds can be used to lower our use of reserves. <br />10.1 move to repeal funding for take home use of Police vehicles ($10,000), <br />so these funds can be used to lower our use of reserves. <br />Budget control motion: <br />Currently the council controls the budget at the fund level. This means that <br />council permission is rarely needed to transfer money and departments can shift <br />money around in the budgetwheneverthey want. The following motion allows <br />department heads to spend money without any additional council approval, but <br />would require council approval if they want to shift money from one purpose to <br />another purpose. <br />Council control of the 2006 budget shall be at the line item level rather <br />than at the fund level as has been the case in previous budgets. <br />� <br />�r � <br />�� <br />..} - <br />� <br />�� <br />
