. . � . � <br />Revievv of th� City of Roseville 2030 C'ompr�;hensive Plan Updafe <br />SiATUTORY AUTi-IORITY <br />The Metropolitan Land Planning Act (Mt�PA) requires iocal units af go�ernment ta <br />submit comprehensive pfans and plan amendments to the Council for re�iew and <br />camrr�ent (Minn. Stat. § 473.864, Subd. 2). The Councif reviews plans to determi�e: <br />e Conformance vvith metropolitan system plans, <br />• Consist�ency with otf�er adopfed Plans of the Council, and <br />• Compatibility with the Plans af other local jurisdictions in the Metropolitan Area. <br />The Cauncil may req�ire a local gov�rnmental unit to modify any plan or part <br />ihereof if; upon the adoption of findings arrd a resolution, the Cauncil conckudes that <br />�he Plan is more likely than not ta have a substantial impact on or cantain a <br />substantial departure from metropolitan system plans (Minn. Stat, § 473:175, Subd. <br />1). <br />�ach local go�ernment unit shall adopt a policy plar� far the collection, treatment <br />and disposal of sewage for whici� tl�e local go�ernment unit is responsib4e, <br />coardinated ►n+ith the Metropolitan Council's plan, and may revise the same as aften <br />as it deems necessa�y.
