OrganizationalCity Council Minutes —1/5/04 <br />DRAFT Minutes - Page 16 <br />discussion and a determination as to the need and/or future <br />of liaison roles. <br />Mayor Klausing noted that there were two different issues: <br />that of liaisons to City advisory commissions, and liaisons <br />to outside agencies; and sought clarification of <br />Councilmember Maschka's intent. <br />Councilmember Maschka noted that yet another issue was <br />the City's role as a community in regional activities and <br />the need to provide active leadership, which was part of a <br />larger discussion as to the City's overall plans for 2004. <br />Mayor Klausing determined that formal action was not <br />needed, provided current liaisons were willing to continue <br />in their roles until further discussion could be held. <br />Those affected Councilmembers concurred. <br />Councilmember Schroeder opined that those liaisons to <br />outside agencies needed to have alternates designated to <br />serve when they were unable to attend meetings. <br />Mayor Klausing opined his desire to receive feedback, <br />possibly on a quarterly basis, �r�tn those liaisons serving <br />on behalf of the City. <br />Councilmember Kough expressed his support of liaisons. <br />John Kysylyczyn, 3083 Victoria Street N <br />Mr. Kysylyczyn noted that there was a January meeting of <br />the Ramsey County League of Local Governments <br />(RCLLG) prior to the next meeting of the Council, and <br />challenged Mayor Klausing as to who would serve on that <br />committee until further appointments were made, since the <br />he, as the former Mayor, had served on this agency. <br />Mayor Klausing advised that he would serve as the interim <br />liaison to the RCCLG, <br />Mr. Kysylyczyn noted that all Roseville advisory <br />
