This greatly exceeded
available funds and dictated that many worthy projects could be only partially funded or could not be
funded at all. The Metro Greenways Work Group and program staff reviewed the grant applications and
evaluated them using established criteria. The Work Group and staff recommendations were then
reviewed by the DNR Central Region Management Team and approved by me, as Acting DNR Central
Region Director.
In order for us to execute the grant agreement for this project, you will need to submit a revised budget
and work plan with timelines and deliverables. Please be sure to include the acreage to be restored, the
amount and source of matching funds, and provision in your work plan for an interim report by July 15th,
2004 and a final report with invoice no later then June 15,2005. Also, note that this grant is by
reimbursement, with payment made upon receipt of an invoice for competed work. If you anticipate
submitting interim invoices, please include a proposed payment schedule with corresponding
deliverables with your work plan. These exhibits will be utilized as attachments to the grant contract, so
please submit in an electronic format via e-mail if possible. Also, remember that work on the project that
is to be paid for by the grant or match cannot start until the agreement is signed.
Congratulations on the grant award, and thank you for your commitment to the restoration of our region's
natural areas. We look forward to working with you on this exciting project. If rla have any questions,
please call Metro Greenways Coordinator Kate Drewry at (651) 772-7946.
Sincerely,
, `

Margaret (Peggy) Booth, acting for
Kathleen Wallace, Regional Director
DNR Central Region
An EcZua.! 5jfr.tulf ,tnplayer Who 'alur;s i'.)iversity
DNR Informatin 651-296-6157 -S$S-f,t6-63f7 TTY: 651-29f-5484 1-800-657-3929
