Regular City Council Meeting— 02/09/04 <br />DRAFT Minutes - Page 24 <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Ihlan, Maschka, Kough and Klausing. <br />Nays: Schroeder. <br />Mr. Brol�l�e expressed appreciation to and commended the <br />neighbors and the Athletic Associations for their receptiveness to <br />each other; and noted the example portrayed by the Associations <br />seel�ing a proactive solution to a problem, rather than mal�ing <br />demands on the City's services. <br />Councilmember Maschka concurred with comments that the <br />Youth Athletic Associations saved the City considerable monies. <br />Recess Recess <br />Mayor Klausing recessed the meeting at 8:02 p.m. and <br />reconvened the meeting at 8:09 p.m. <br />7. Appoint Twin Lakes Stakeholder Panel Members <br />Mayor Klausing had reviewed individual Councilmember <br />recommendations and prepared a list of suggested appointees. <br />Mayor Klausing reviewed his rationale for suggested <br />appointments, in an effort to provide equality among <br />Councilmember preferences and on the Panel itself. <br />Mayor Klausing sought Council comment as to how the majority <br />preferred to proceed. <br />Councilmember Kough expressed his confusion with the process <br />to-date, and opined that the panel was too large at twenty-five <br />(25) people, recommending a panel of fifteen (15) people. <br />Discussion ensued regarding individual preference and <br />evaluation method; consideration of panel members not living <br />within the City of Roseville; number of panel members; and the <br />strength of the Stakeholder Panel in representing as many <br />community sectors as possible. <br />Councilmember Maschka noted that Mr. Shardlow had <br />concurred with a panel of twenty-five. <br />Councilmember Schroeder opined his preference for reserving <br />Appoint Twin <br />Lakes Stakeholder <br />Panel Members <br />
