Regular City Council Meeting— 02/09/04
DRAFT Minutes - Page 24
Roll Call
Ayes: Ihlan, Maschka, Kough and Klausing.
Nays: Schroeder.
Mr. Brolle expressed appreciation to and commended the
neighbors and the Athletic Associations for their receptiveness to
each other; and noted the example portrayed by the Associations
seeling a proactive solution to a problem, rather than maling
demands on the City's services.
Councilmember Maschka concurred with comments that the
Youth Athletic Associations saved the City considerable monies.
Recess Recess
Mayor Klausing recessed the meeting at 8:02 p.m. and
reconvened the meeting at 8:09 p.m.
7. Appoint Twin Lakes Stakeholder Panel Members
Mayor Klausing had reviewed individual Councilmember
recommendations and prepared a list of suggested appointees.
Mayor Klausing reviewed his rationale for suggested
appointments, in an effort to provide equality among
Councilmember preferences and on the Panel itself.
Mayor Klausing sought Council comment as to how the majority
preferred to proceed.
Councilmember Kough expressed his confusion with the process
to-date, and opined that the panel was too large at twenty-five
(25) people, recommending a panel of fifteen (15) people.
Discussion ensued regarding individual preference and
evaluation method; consideration of panel members not living
within the City of Roseville; number of panel members; and the
strength of the Stakeholder Panel in representing as many
community sectors as possible.
Councilmember Maschka noted that Mr. Shardlow had
concurred with a panel of twenty-five.
Councilmember Schroeder opined his preference for reserving
Appoint Twin
Lakes Stakeholder
Panel Members
