City Council Study Session — 04/19/04 <br />DRAFT Minutes - Page 15 <br />Ms. Bloom further clarified that the proposed Streetscape <br />Proposal as developed in 2002 was a separate project from the <br />road reconstruction project, with the roadway built to facilitate <br />the streetscape now or in the future. Ms. Bloom noted that staff <br />would bring the proposed design before the City Council for <br />their approval at a later date. <br />Mr. Soler reiterated the County's process, given tonight's <br />Council comments, noting that Ramsey County will continue the <br />process to put the final layout together; identify right-of-way <br />acquisitions; and receive feedback from the residents on width <br />necessary for acquisition; and will continue work out the other <br />details in anticipation of a final design to be developed. <br />Councilmember Schroeder sought clarification from Mr. Soler as <br />to consideration of placement of noise wa11s along the back of <br />the properties along Pascal. <br />Ms. Bloom and Mr. Soler concurred that noise wall installation <br />was discussed, and would depend on the type of the rights-of- <br />way and whether residents could agree on a single type of fence <br />that could be incorporated into the project development. <br />Councilmember Schroeder encouraged that Ramsey County and <br />City staff continue to pursue a noise wall. <br />9. Overview of 800 MHz <br />Communications Project <br />Mayor Klausing introduced <br />representing Commissioner <br />tonight's presentation and <br />Communications Project. <br />County-wide Police and Fire <br />and welcomed Ms. Sarah Mertz, <br />Jan Wiessner's office, to observe <br />discussion of the 800 MHz <br />City of Roseville Police Department Administrative Sergeant <br />Randy Johnson reviewed various phases; as applicable to state, <br />county and local municipality involvement. <br />City of Roseville Assistant Fire Chief Tim O'Neill concurred <br />with the difficulties being experienced in interagency <br />communication. <br />Overview of 800 <br />MHz County-wide <br />Police and Fire <br />Communications <br />Project <br />
