Proposed construction <br />Alternate l: Bituminous Trail Proposal <br />� Between Rice Street and Lexington Avenue construct an 8 foot wide bituminous pathway <br />on the north side of the road. <br />0 8 foot bituminous (or concrete) trail on north side of the street. <br />0 5 foot grass strip between road and trail. <br />o Two way facility. <br />o Pull the pathway away from the street at Central Park Elementary school and <br />connect to the Central Park pathway connection. <br />o On street parking would not be impacted. <br />o No additional right- of- way required. <br />o Estimated Construction Cost = $570,000 ($970,000) <br />Alternate 2: Bituminous Trail Lexington to Walnut <br />� Do not construct any facility in the right- of- way between Rice Street and Lexington <br />Avenue. <br />From properiy owner feedback this would be their preferred alternate. <br />. This proposal would need to be reviewed and approved by the Metropolitan Council <br />Transportation Advisory Board (TAB) for conformance with the original grant <br />application. Upon review, the TAB may choose to eliminate a portion or all of the <br />Federal Funding. <br />Alternate 3: ConcretelBituminous Trail Proposal <br />. Between Rice Street and Lexington Avenue construct a sidewalk on both sides of the <br />street. <br />0 5-6 foot concrete sidewalk on both sides of the street. <br />0 5 foot grass strip between road and sidewalk. <br />o Each facilitywould be one way. <br />o Pull the pathway away from the street at Central Park Elementary school and <br />connect to the Central Park pathway connection. <br />o On street parking would not be impacted. <br />o No additional right- of- way required. <br />o Estimated Construction Cost = $1,600,000 <br />County Road B-2 Trail <br />Feasibility Report <br />May 24,2004 <br />�� <br />
