Elimination of the Rose Ceremony. <br />Date: 09/27/04 <br />Item: 7. <br />Elimination o f Rosc Ceremony <br />��m�ralmbm�r �l�o�def <br />Background: <br />The Rose Ceremony (or presentation of the Rose) to a resident or mayor/council member has been a long- <br />standing means to recognize those who have given to the City of Roseville. In the past this award has been <br />given to outgoing mayors/council members to thank them for all their time and personal sacrifice, as well as <br />their achievements during their term in office. Due to the lack of support from the current mayor/council <br />members to recognize all equally who have served in this capacity, I believe the award should be abolished. <br />Action: <br />Abolish the Rose Ceremony and any/all form of recognition for outgoing mayors/council members. <br />
