the previously-passed motion banning all out-of-state travel for staff and elected officials that remained as <br />a standing directive. <br />City Manager Beets noted one example in the Parks and Recreation Department where the City was <br />seeking accreditation, and it would be advantageous for the City if the Parks and Recreation Director <br />were able to attend the national conference in 2004, with the location as yet to be determined. <br />Kysylyczyn amended his original motion, Klausing seconded, reduction of out-of-state <br />conferences/training for staff by $5,000. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Maschka, Schroeder, Kough, Klausing and Kysylyczyn. <br />Nays: None. <br />Final Council Action <br />According to the minutes noted above, the Council after some deliberation and various motions <br />eventually agreed to reduce the City's 2004 Budget for out-of-state conferences and training by <br />$5,000. There were no restrictions placed on individual Councilmembers or Staff. Specific to <br />the 2004 Budget, the reductions were made in the Administration, Finance, and Police <br />Departments. <br />� <br />
