attain any kind of success with the work of human rights in community and most of all it
takes a consistency of effort, enthusiam, commitment...
4. Regarding the reappointment process, do yo'u tik the City
Council
should re-interview sitting commission members who seek reappointment, and then evaluate
those sitting commission members for reappointment along with new applicants for that
commission position?
ANSWER:
NO I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT THE RE-INTERVIEW PROCESS IS NECESSARY. THE WORK OF THE ADVISORY
COUNCIL IN COMMUNITY USUALLY SPEAKS FOR ITSELF. BECAUSE OF ATTRITION, PEOPLE MOVE ETC. I
FEEL WE NEED TO BE MORE INTENSE RECRUITING TO KEEP THE COMMISSION FUNCTIONING AT ITS BEST.
I DO BELIEVE IT IS CRITICAL THAT WE HAVE YOUTH COMMISSIONERS AND NEED TO FIND A WAY TO
KEEP THOSE VACANCIES FILLED.
Is there any other input you would like to provide the City Council about the commission
re-appointment process?
5. For the Public Works and Transportation Commissioners, do you
think
your commission could or should address environmental issues not currently being handled
by the Parks and Recreation or Planning Commissions?
Why or why not?
6. Is there any other information you would like to give the City
Council about Roseville's citizen advisory commissions?
I FEEL THAT IT IS A PRIVILEGE TO BE ON AN ADVISORY COMMISSION FOR OUR CITY OF ROSEVILLE.
I APPRECIATE THE ENERGY AND SUPPORT GIVEN OUR COMMISSION AND TRUST WE WILL CONTINUE TO
BUILD ON WHAT WE HAVE.
Thank you for your input. And thanks for all you do for the City of Roseville.
Neal Beets
City Manager
Office: 651-792-7021
Mobile: 651-775-3556
Fax: 651-792-7020
