ATTACHMENT B - 3 <br />initiative. Due to other funds being used by the 135 W Corridor Coalition, this pilot <br />project is limited to those corridor communities listed above. Ramsey County proposes <br />an allocation of $100,000 in CDBG funds for the new project. <br />Recommended CDBG funding $100,000 <br />Lauderdale Neighborhood Utility Improvements. The City of Lauderdale has <br />requested $80,000 in CDBG funding to reduce the local costs of capital improvements <br />in the eastern area of the city. About 200 low ar�d moderate income households will <br />benefit from improvements to underground lines (water, sewer, storm sewer) and <br />streets. Total project cost is $709,900. <br />Recommended CDBG funding $80,000 <br />Arden Hills Wate� Main Extension. The City of Arden Hills, a new participant in the <br />CDBG Program has requested $200,000 to install water transmission lines and fire <br />hydrants in the last remaining area of the City not served by municipal water. The area <br />is one of the few low and moderate income census tracts in suburban Ramsey County. <br />There are 18 households located along Old Highway 10 who will directly benefit from <br />the project; most of whom are low and moderate income long time residents. <br />Recommended CDBG funding $200,000 <br />Arden Hills/ Arden Manor Park Improvements. Arden Manor Mobile Home Park is <br />home to 284 households (621 people) all of whom are low and moderate income. The <br />city has invested $167,000 in improvements to the park area (3.61 acres) and now has <br />fee title to the property, which was originally park easement. The city is requesting <br />$40,000 in CDBG funds to complete the imprc�ement project. <br />Recommended CDBG funding $40,000 <br />Roseville/Rice Street Neighborhood Link. The City of Roseville will construct a <br />sidewalk/pathway along the west side of Rice Street between Minnesota Street and <br />County Road B. Residents of the area are primarily families with small children, <br />including residents of the Calibre Ridge Townhomes, and the sidewalk will allow them <br />to walk more safely and easily to reach basic commercial services. The City is <br />requesting $55,000 of a total estimated cost of $65,000. <br />Recommended CDBG funding $55,000 <br />Shoreview/Lexington Village Mixed-Use Development, The City of Shoreview has <br />requested funding to help acquire property at the northeast corner of Lexington Avenue <br />and County Road D at the southern boundary ��f the City. Two declining commercial <br />pr�perties currently occupy the site. The ,�roperties are more than 30 years old, have <br />petroleum contamination, do not meet zoning requirements, and generally negatively <br />impact the surrounding residential neighborhood. The City owns the adjacent vacant <br />parcel and proposes a 4 acre redevelopment that will include a mix of housing, <br />CDBG and HOME 2000 3 <br />'J <br />
