City Council Action Requested <br />By motion authorize the Mayor and City Manager to execute the Transition Plan including: <br />1.) The approval of a contract with the executive search firm of (...name of firm to be <br />selected by the City Council ...) for the purpose of coordinating the City Manager <br />recruitment process and to allocate an amount not to exceed $40,000, to be paid from the <br />Administrative salary account or Contingent account, for direct and related expenses <br />associated with this search. <br />2.) To appoint Finance Director, Ed Burrell, as the Acting City Manager effective November <br />3, 2000 continuing through the start date of a new City Manager, with an annualized pay <br />of $95,000, and with the full responsibilities as described by State Statutes, Plan B Form <br />of Government. <br />
