� <br />Request for Council Action <br />Date: 11/2�/00 <br />Item Number: �_2 <br />Department Approval Manager Approval Agenda Section <br />��d��' f �� Consent <br />Item Description: Request to reject bids for the replacement of Engine 12. <br />BACKGROUND: With the approval of Council on October 2, 2000, the fire department advertised for <br />bids for the replacement of Engine 12. The bids were opened on November 1, 2000 and reviewed by staff. <br />The two bids received did not meet the goals and specifications established by staff. <br />POLICY IMPLICATIONS: The bid specifications authorized the City to accept or reject any and all <br />bids. <br />FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: The only financial implication would be the cost to re-advertise for bids. <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommendation is for Council to reject all bids for the <br />replacement Engine 12. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REOUESTED: Motion to reject all bids that were received by November 1, 2000 <br />for the replacement of Engine 12. <br />
