Regular City Council Meeting <br />Monday, February 22, 2010 <br />Page 3 <br />Commission Chair David Singleton and Commissioner Gary Grefenberg. Chair <br />Singleton noted that 320 essays were received and reviewed by Human Rights <br />Commissioners. <br />Chair Singleton recognized and presented three Honorable Mention essay contest <br />winners: Sonya Flaten taught by Mr. Lauinger; Emmy Inwards taught by Mr. <br />Ueland; and Sydney Olson taught by Mr. Bibeau; 7th, 8th and 8th grades respec- <br />tively at RAMS. <br />Third Place winner Kelsey Porter, 8th Grade RAMS, taught by Mr. Ueland; fol- <br />lowed by Second Place winner Margaret Lee, 8th Grade at RAMS taught by Mr. <br />Bibeau; and First Place Kenzie Lutz; 8th Grade at Roseville Area Middle School <br />(RAMS) taught by Mr. Ueland, were recognized and invited to read their essays. <br />Chair Singleton thanked all students and teachers, and the four schools for their <br />participation this year; gift certificates were given to those schools participating in <br />this year's essay contest. <br />b. Proclaim March 2010 Women's History Month <br />Mayor Klausing read a Proclamation recognizing and honoring contributions of <br />women; and recognizing the 2010 National Women's History Month theme, Writ- <br />ing Women Back into History; and proclaiming March 2010 to be Women's His- <br />tory Month in the City of Roseville. <br />Roe moved, Pust seconded, proclaiming March 2010 as Women's History Month <br />in the City of Roseville Proclamation recognizing and honoring contributions of <br />women; and recognizing the 2010 National Women's History Month theme, Writ- <br />ing Women Back into History. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Johnson; Pust; Roe; and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />6. Approve Minutes <br />a. Approve Minutes of February 8, 2010 Regular Meeting <br />Johnson moved, Roe seconded, approval of the minutes of the February 8, 2010 <br />Regular meeting as presented. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Johnson; Pust; Roe; and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />b. Approve Minutes of February 13, 2010 Special Strategic Planning Meeting <br />
