Bennett Lake Shoreline Improvement Project
We are very excited about the partnership opportunity presented by the Bennett Lake
Shoreline Improvement Project. This improvement will address a shoreline issue that has
developed in the northeast corner of Bennett Lake. The parking lot runoff from the
Prince of Peace Church discharges into Central Park via a pipe that discharges near the
upper pathway. The parking lot runoff washes sediment into a small depression that fills
up and washes over the pathway and down the hill. The runoff can be quite substantial
and has created a gully that in turn washes sediment over the lower pathway and into
Bennett Lake. The shoreline of Bennett Lake in this area is also experiencing significant
sloughing, causing the damage to the lower path.

Central Park and Bemiett Lake are significant environmental resources. We see this
improvement as being in keeping with the City of Roseville's commitment to help the
envirorument. As a result, we have been working with RCD and Prince of Peace to
identify and implement an aesthetically and environmentally appropriate solution.

City of Roseville
Storm Water Annual Report Page 11 of 15
