Special Pickup Addresses <br />To ensure Chat every resident has the opportunity to recycle, Eureka Recycling offers to <br />collect recycling from locations other than the curb for residents who request special pickup <br />service due to short- or long-term physical limitations. This service is provided free of <br />charge. Currently, this service is extended to almost 82 Roseville residents. <br />Multifamily <br />The City of Roseville has a very organized multifamily recycling program. This year one <br />more building was brought on to the city program once their old service contracts expired <br />and are now serviced by Eureka Recycling. The <br />building was visited by Eureka Recycling staff to <br />determine th.e proper setup and distribute educational <br />materials to help the management ensure participation <br />in the program. We have now a total of 81 multifamily <br />complexes, 161 residential buildings, 1.2 city buildings, <br />and 5,781 residential units being serviced on Roseville's <br />program. <br />In February of 2008 Eureka Recycling contacted 163 building managers and had in-depth. <br />phone conversations discussing with them some updates in their collection schedule atad to <br />touch base about service levels, their recycling rates and their experience participating in <br />Roseville's program. <br />In March 2008 Eureka Recycling mailed reports to all of Roseville's multi-family building <br />managers providing them with the data on the tonnage recycled for their buildings and the <br />environmental benefits of that effort. This communication provides the building managers <br />with a concrete tool to work with their residents to get them inspired and motivated to <br />increase their recycling. <br />Multifamily Education Materials and Customer Service <br />Overall, from 200$ to 2009 the number of units recycling in Roseville's multifamily <br />program increased by 8`% with tonnage increasing by aver 4%. <br />Eureka Recycling continues to monitor the performance at each account on an ongoing <br />basis in order to improve participation. Our drivers track issues and staff are able to follow <br />up immediately by offering suggestions that address the specific needs of the building and <br />providing more education materials Eor residents. Eureka Recycling provided almost 650 <br />pieces of recycling education (instructional posters and brochures} to the building <br />management anal residents of the newly established and existing multifamily accounts in <br />2008. <br />Eureka Recycling continues to monitor the performance and service issues at each account <br />i.n order to adjust service levels on an ongoing basis. Capacity far storage is an issue that gets <br />addressed through our attentive drivers and involved on-site contacts so that more carts get <br />added as residents recycle more. In 2008 an additional fi0 carts were added to buildings <br />where increased recycling capacity was necessary to service the increased recycling needs of <br />the residents. <br />3 <br />
